Fresh Starts and New Mercies 5

A New Year brings a promise of new beginnings, and I’m excited to start the month of January with a blog series called “Fresh Starts and New Mercies.”

Six beautiful friends will join me to offer encouragement, inspiration, and practical ideas for embracing a fresh start on a new year.

Because God has a fresh start in grace for each of us.

Join us on Tuesdays and Fridays, January 2nd – 23rd.

Jan. 2nd: Betsy Cruz (That’s me!): “Simplifying your Schedule”

Jan. 6th: Asheritah Ciuciu from OneThingAlone.com: “Sacred Starts to Your Day”

Jan. 9th: Julie Lefebure from LovingGodLovingOthers.com: “A Healthier You”

Jan. 13th: Abby McDonald from FearfullyMadeMom.net) “Intentional Parenting”

Jan. 16th: Meredith Bernard (MeredithBernard.com): “Pursuing Your Passion”

Jan. 20th: Sabra Penley from SimplyOneinMarriage.com: “Fresh Air for your Marriage”

Jan. 23rd: Tarissa Helms from IntrovertedMama.com: “Caring for Yourself”

This series is not about making New Year’s resolutions in our own strength. Many of us have tried to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and make changes in our lives. That didn’t work for me. Did it work for you?

Instead, let’s grab hold of God’s grace when we fail and rejoice because each day brings new mercies. Our slates are wiped clean, and we’re free to continue making progress, no matter how slow. We’ll explore new opportunities to grow in hope and grace as we learn to let go of our own strength and lean into God’s power to accomplish what He’s calling us to.

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
    His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

Lamentations 3:22-23

Join us January 2 – 23rd? Let’s get ready for renewed hope in 2015.

Because God has a fresh start in grace for each of us.

(Linking up with Holly BarrettKelly Balarie, Meredith Bernard, and Holley Gerth. Check out their communities for more encouragement.)

I want to enjoy the everyday life God is giving me as best I can, even when the road gets bumpy. I love having fun with my teenagers, learning almost anything, and drinking dark roast coffee with my friends.
