Faith Spilling Over… Into Everyday Life

Keeping God at the Center of Your Dream

Keeping God at the Center

My husband and I embarked on the craziest, most impossible faith venture of our lives four years ago. God called us to plant a new church in a Muslim city where, humanly speaking, no one is interested in the gospel.

We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.  That was a good thing because had we known, we probably wouldn’t have said “yes” to God in the first place.

I want to enjoy the everyday life God is giving me as best I can, even when the road gets bumpy. I love having fun with my teenagers, learning almost anything, and drinking dark roast coffee with my friends.

  1. loved this.. what powerful words of encouragement to trust the process and the giver of the dream

  2. Hi Betsy, I came over from this article. It is a beautiful one. God Bless.

  3. Living the Christian life is laid upon dying to self but to live for the One who died for us. With respect to dream, we have to make sure that God is always at the center if we don’t to get into serious trouble that could have been avoided down the road. Unfortunately, we as believers have a tendency to do things according to our own human understanding and effort instead of relying upon God for guidance.

    • You are absolutely right. It’s so easy to make our own plans or else to slowly put ourselves at the center of our dreams rather than God. Thanks for commenting today.

      • First, you welcome. The point is that our job is to glorify God, and this is the foremost thing that He really needs from us. If we’re willing to glorify Him by how we live our lives, He’ll get everything from us. He must be the preeminent factor in our dream, which means that anything that will not bring Him glory should not be pursued because it will not have any eternal significant.
